Check Out Some Place New

Hello again! Please forgive the lack of posts the last months. I could give a thousand and one reasons but really who cares? Point being I just have been WAY too quiet on here. It's time to get busy! Focus a little more. Things have been hectic around here, not to give any excuses, but to keep my readers up to date on what is happening. At the tattoo shop, we are in the process of trying to change locations. That is...interesting, to say the least. I was also approached about being a contributing editor on another site. Allow me the pleasure of introducing you to, if you are not already familiar with, Woman's Mojo Rising.

I get the distinct pleasure of working with some fabulous ladies that have amazing talents. I am so excited to be a part of their endeavors. On this sister site, I contribute to the Home Economics section (These posts will be published on Just a Bowl of Cherries too) and have a page called Body Art Insider. If you have questions about tattoos, body piercings, or the ongoings of a tattoo studio this is the place to read my views on it. I am still trying to get a feel for what the best way to go about doing all this. So for now, Body Art Insider will be an exclusive to Woman's Mojo Rising. If it feels like I need to connect this page more with the other I may start posting links to the articles. But I am still very much a newbie in the area of blogging and the internet (believe it or not) Hell, I didn't even have a computer til the last 4 years....Funny, I can't imagine life without one now.

Now I mentioned the pages I will be writing for but please take a look around. The women on this site are truly talented and I am very honored to get the opportunity to place my name along theirs. Currently, the other editors are Brightfire Woman and Cassandra Tribe. Both very respected, as they should be, in the artistic world. So even if the tattoo or body art isn't your thing take the time to enjoy the works of some other amazing women.

For now I am going to work on a few posts for Just a Bowl of Cherries, I have a couple articles already posted for the other site. I am hoping that I'm not putting too much on my plate....I tend to do that. With life in general I have found that often "my eyes are bigger than my stomach". I strive in chaos, always have. So let's hope that I've created JUST enough chaos to bring the cream of the crop and not enough to have to push my plate away. As to the future posts for this site keep your eyes open for recipes, I have a few reviews coming and would like to have a giveaway. I've seen the rafflecopter used by a lot of blogs, any thoughts on it? I, myself, have never tried anything like that before so if anyone has words of advice in that area please feel free to comment. I don't have a huge following so I'm not sure if that would be an effective route or not. Hmmm...

Great Kids Site

My daughter is in second grade this year. The time sure does fly by! And among our many activities throughout a regular day of dance classes, girl scouts, and school functions, we as parents must find the time to help out our kids with homework too. The expectations of our youth are a lot higher than they used to be. I know when I was in kindergarten the big things were coloring in the lines and the letter people beginning with Miss A'choo.

Cranberries Anyone?

Happy Monday!
My friends have been asking for me to post some recipes, which I had the intention of doing at some point but was waiting til I could put pictures up with them so you could see the product throughout the cooking process. Who am I to say no to the masses though? Just keep in mind that while this post isn't filled with mouth-watering pictures, future ones will be.

4 Legged Treats

What a lovely morning it here in the middle America! Twenty-eight degrees outside is what the thermometer is reading. Even my dogs wasted no time outside this morning. As soon as they watched Elise, my daughter, get on the bus, they were over being out there. I have the most spoiled dogs ever! They can't be left alone...they'll get lonely. One is 80-85 pounds and the other is well over a 100 pounds (we are working on an intervention to tell him he's pushing the borders on obesity) and if they had their way they'd be carried around in the world's largest dog purse. But until Mary Poppins loans me her bag they will have to walk.
For our four-leg family members I thought I'd take a moment to post a few things they may enjoy.

First ever entry

Well, welcome one and all! As of right now, this is my first post ever, with hopefully many more to come. Round of applause... Thank you , thank you. I finally joined the rest of the blogging world, and I am so excited! Patience would be greatly appreciated while we work out all the details and possible glitches.
